Cudgen Public School partner with Mate and Matts

Cudgen Public School is excited to announce a new association with our local fruit and veg stall “Mate and Matts Farm Fresh Fruit and Veg”. Running on the back of Mate and Matt’s NEW Home Delivery service is an offer for Cudgen Public School family’s to save time, money and to support a local business along with supporting their school.

The Offer
Mate and Matt’s is offering to deliver their quality seasonal fruit and veg boxes to the school every Tuesday by 2.30pm. This is to enable parents to pick up their children and their fresh fruit and veg at the same time.

For every box that is purchased by a Cudgen Public School Family, Mate and Matt’s is donating $1.00 of profits to Cudgen Public School. If you want to have a box home delivered, that is no problem, read below in “What to do” to see how to make sure Cudgen Public School gets $1.00 when you order this way.

Also for the month of February you will receive a free half dozen “free range” eggs with every order.

About Mate and Matt’s
If you don’t already know it, Mate and Matt’s Farm Fresh Fruit and Veg is your local farmers fruit and veg stall. Located on 752 Cudgen Road Cudgen (Next to Kingscliff TAFE).

The business is run by brothers Matthew, Henry and Tom Prichard all of whom grew up in Cudgen and attended Cudgen Primary (the third generation of the family to do so). Matthew’s son Jett has just commenced Kindergarten at Cudgen making him a fourth generation at the school.

As well as running the Farm Stall, Matthew and Henry have a sweet potato commercial focus using over 120 acres of red volcanic soil to produce close to 2,000 tonnes of sweet potatoes annually.

You can find these sweet potatoes in the shop and in the “home delivery” seasonal boxes along with their delicious strawberries, broccoli, cabbage, silverbeet, and kale. Other produce sourced locally are sweet corn, bananas, avocados, peas, honey, tomatoes, zucchini, flowers, eggs, beans, lettuce, limes, watermelons, rockmelons, pumpkins, macadamia nuts and ginger.

Some of the growers from whom we source the above mentioned fresh produce have long associations with the Cudgen Public School and the local community. The family’s include the Julius’, Palmer’s, Paddon’s, Lawrence’s, Willis’, Kennedy’s, Eglington’s and Tully‘s.

The Julius’, from which the business sources sweet corn, peas and green beans, run the farm that surrounds our school grounds.

What to Do

Log onto the Mate and Matt’s Farm Fresh Fruit and Veg website www.farmfreshdelivery.com.au and select the box you wish to purchase.

They currently have 9 different boxes to choose from ranging from fruit and veg, veg only, fruit only and salad boxes.

You can add additional items to your box and request to swap products out of your box in preference for other products.

On the shopping cart screen (prior to checkout) enter the coupon code “Cudgen” to wipe the $5.00 delivery fee and indicate you would like your box ready for pick up at Cudgen Public School on the Tuesday following your order date.

For people that would like the added benefit of home delivery (you may choose any weekday for delivery) do not enter Cudgen in the Coupon section but mention Cudgen Public School in your order notes so that the school still receives the $1.00.

Home delivery times are between 3pm and 6pm in the evening.
